First
Anniversary Celebration - 7/28/2007 |
|
Thanks
to the generous support of our students both in Albuquerque
and throughout the country, and of the Los Ranchos community-at-large,
we held a warm and spirited one-year anniversary celebration
on July 28th, in our newly expanded dojo Space. After a
wonderful class taught by Kristina Varjan Shihan of New
Mexico Aikikai in Placitas, tests for promotion of both
children and adults, and some inspiring words from both
our Technical Director, Pablo Vázquez Shihan, and
Rikko Varjan Sensei, President of our national organization,
Birankai North America, the students and families of both
dojos shared a relaxed lunch, with plenty of food an conversation
all around.

Many
thanks go to Michael Montoya, Charlie Rolison, and their
crews, who accomplished in 2 days an incredible construction
feat that would have taken us Senseis two months to accomplish.
Our mat space now accommodates 30% more students, with
improved dressing rooms and a more professional entry
area.

Dojo, Japan. |
